Open Access
The Adventure Playground is open access and free to registered children and young people. We are not a care facility, we are 'open access' this means children may come and go as they please. Staff cannot accept responsibility for ensuring children remain on the premises or escort them home. In emergencies GAPA may have to close without warning, so please check that your child knows where to go in the event of a closure. If you require a childcare facility please contact the Lincolnshire’s Family Service Directory on 0800 1951 635
Play
GAPA offers an extensive activity programme during school holidays as well as year-round after-school play provision. We encourage child-led play experiences both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather and throughout the seasons. Activities such as music, games, sports, cooking and arts and crafts are facilitated by playworkers with the children’s consultation. The staff offer support and encouragement for children to try new experiences, gain confidence, take risks and push boundaries. The playground can be a messy place at times with lots of paint, glue etc so please ensure that old clothes are worn during playsessions.
Registration
All children must be registered as members with GAPA. When children first attend GAPA they will need to have a membership form filled in and signed by a parent carer they will then be given an induction and paired up with a buddy if needed. Please ensure your child's information is always up to date. All personal information is stored securely and not shared with others without prior consent. Access to the playground and all its activities are at the playworkers discretion at all times. Any threating or abuse language towards the staff will not be tolerated and could lead to children/adults being asked to leave If you have any suggestions or complaints, please see a member of staff who will be happy to assist.
Cost
The Playsessions are free unless otherwise stated. We do ask that you consider making a yearly voluntary contribution of £10 per child, per year on registration. This is purely voluntary and if you do not wish contribute you will still receive the fantastic service and will not be excluded from any activities or events.
We also appreciate donations not just of cash but are always looking for other things such as pallets, crates, art and craft materials, den building materials, sport equipment, cardboard tubes and toys such as lego, dinosaurs, cars.
We hold lots of fundraising activities throughout the year including Bingo, Fun Days, Raffles, Bag Packing etc if you have any fundraising ideas please see a member of staff.

We offer a nutritious two course meal during the evening sessions at lunch times, on a Saturday and in the school holidays. The cost of this is £2.00 and must be ordered in advance. We also have a tuck shop selling a range of snacks and drinks this is opened during the play session after the meal is served. Water or squash is available at all times.
